Kratos-X is a European and NATO-Allied Security & Defence ecosystem (https://kratos-x) that offers ready-to-onboard transactions and a groundbreaking concept for the orchestration of Defence, Security and Civilian Protection in Democratic States.
Kratos-X is a new type of international organization offering a 21st Century Industrial and Economic Ecosystem architecture and platform to transform Democratic economies and make them resilient to the new threats that emerge from state and non-state actors. The way Kratos-X will achieve that is by providing long-term financing and operational support to States (30-50 years) while consolidating their Defence, Security and Resilience Industrial SMEs into a coherent industrial network.
Kratos-X is currently seeking a high-profile professional for the role of Partner - Chief Cyber and Information Officer. The ideal candidate should have battle-tested and operational expertise and experience in order to build, inspire, and lead the Cyber and Informations Team of the ecosystem.
Key functions:
- Strategic Input: Participate with other Partners in the Strategy development and execution for the Ecosystem, including, areas such as Business Development, Investor Relations, Member Relations and Strategic Partnerships with Associations, Institutions and other critical stakeholders in the Defence, Security and Resilience/Civilian Protection realm.
- Oversight of Ecosystem Cyber & Information organizational structure: Work with other Partners to constantly update the organizational and operational structure of the Ecosystem to reflect the optimum development of capabilities vs. stakeholder needs
- Cyber Strategy and Leadership: Developing and implementing cyber and information warfare strategies, ensuring Kratos-X's digital assets are protected and that offensive and defensive cyber operations are effectively coordinated.
- Cyber Operations: Leading the identification, analysis, and mitigation of cyber threats, overseeing both offensive and defensive operations. This includes protecting data, networks, and systems, as well as conducting counter-attacks when necessary.
- Information Warfare: Planning and executing information warfare campaigns to influence and disrupt adversary activities. This involves using information and cyber tools to shape the information environment and support operational goals.
- Incident Response and Management: Establishing and managing an effective incident response plan to address cyber incidents and breaches. This includes leading investigations, coordinating with relevant teams, and implementing recovery plans to restore affected systems.
- Cyber Training and Development: Creating and delivering training programs to enhance the cyber capabilities of PMC personnel, ensuring they are prepared for emerging cyber threats. This role also involves fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
- Cyber and Information Collaboration and Partnership: Building and maintaining relationships with external organizations, government agencies, and industry partners to share intelligence, best practices, and technological advancements. This collaboration ensures that Kratos-X stays at the forefront of cyber and information warfare capabilities.
- Technological Innovation: Staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in the cyber domain. This includes evaluating and adopting new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance Kratos-X’s cyber capabilities and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential cyber vulnerabilities and implementing measures to mitigate those risks. This involves working closely with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to cybersecurity.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Developing and implementing cyber policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Ensuring compliance with these policies and promoting a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
- Electronic Warfare: Depending on the specific scope of Kratos-X, the Chief Cyber and Information Warfare Officer may also be responsible for electronic warfare operations. This includes leading and coordinating electronic attacks, electronic protection, and support measures to ensure the PMC's dominance in the electromagnetic spectrum.
